The short version: you can read everything on Gematria.Life without an account, we collect remarkably little, we never sell data, and we show no ads. The details:
Anonymous use. Reading and free daily lookups require no account. To operate the daily lookup meter and keep your place, we set cookies on your device containing a session identifier and your lookup count for the day. These identify your browser, not your person. Our servers also keep short-lived standard logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and debugging.
Premium subscribers. If you subscribe, we hold your email address (to grant access and send sign-in links) and your subscription status. Payment details — card numbers, billing address — go directly to Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store them. Stripe shares with us only what's needed to confirm your subscription.
Contact form. If you write to us, we receive what you send: your name, email, and message. We use it to reply, and keep the correspondence as long as useful for support.
That is the whole list. We run no advertising, no third-party analytics trackers, and no data brokering of any kind. What you search and study on the Service is processed to answer your request and to operate the meter; we do not build profiles of your study.
We use a small number of service providers, each receiving only what their role requires: Stripe (payments and subscription management), Render (hosting — our servers currently run in the United States), and Resend (delivering sign-in links and transactional email). Each processes data under its own privacy commitments and our instructions. Because hosting and processing occur partly outside Canada, your information may be stored and processed in other jurisdictions, where it is subject to those jurisdictions' laws.
We use only functional cookies: a session cookie (sign-in state and the daily lookup meter) and, for subscribers, what's needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking cookies keeps reading fully functional but may reset your free-lookup count or sign you out.
Server logs are retained briefly and rotated. Meter cookies reset daily and expire on their own. Subscriber emails and subscription records are kept while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes, then deleted. Contact correspondence is kept as long as useful for support.
We operate under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA). You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (deletion of a subscriber email ends Premium access, since access is granted through it). Write via the contact form and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in a jurisdiction granting additional rights (such as the EU/UK), we will honor requests consistent with those laws.
The Service is a study tool of general interest and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; a subscription requires a payment method, which requires an adult.
Traffic to the Service is encrypted (HTTPS). Access credentials are never stored as passwords — sign-in works through one-time links sent to your email. Payment security is handled by Stripe, a certified PCI Level 1 provider. No internet service can promise perfect security, but our design principle is simple: the less we hold, the less can leak — and we hold very little.
If we change this policy materially, we will post notice on the Service before the change takes effect. The current version is always at this address.
